Grub! Kankri x Reader

…Kankri. He still had his whistle with him as well…. I suppose that’s a good thing. Unless he learns how to use it. I smiled at him, his candy red body was somewhat translucent, and his eyes were no longer pure white; it was a likable change. I picked him up, only to have him squirm and make little noises of discomfort. I frowned and gently papped his face. He squawked at this, and began to ramble out gibberish. I ground my teeth together, and headed over to the couch. Even as a damn grub he still wants to ramble about triggers. I sat him down on one of his sweaters that had been carelessly thrown about, and turned the TV to the Cartoon channel to watch some MLP and Squiddle Adventures.

By the time I had begun to dose off, Kankri had come over to where I was sitting and wrapped around my arm. I slowly pulled my arm up, and turned off the TV, then headed to the bedroom. Unfortunately, I still hadn’t gotten Crabkri’s recuperacoon delivered, so he’s had to sleep in the bed with me. The first day he stayed over it triggered him to the point that he refused to sleep… That was until I went to sleep and he got drowsy as well. Hehe…. I lazily grinned at the little Grubkri and picked him off my arm, only to lay him on his pillow a few minutes later. I smiled and carefully climbed into bed beside him, snuggled the cover, and let sleep claim me.

*Timeskip to about Mid-day*

I felt something poking me in the cheek. I mumbled, and snuggled back down into the pillow. That was, until I felt the poking again AND A WHISTLE BEING BLOWN IN MY FRIGGIN EAR. I screamed, and jumped back, which landed my on the floor, with my breath smashed out of me. I looked up, holding my chest as my heart beat sped up to about 500 beats a minute. I saw Grubkri staring at me, slightly crying. I hurriedly got up and hugged him, trying to calm him. “Don’t you ever use your whistle like that again, okay?” He nodded, sniffling. I smiled at him and lay back down. I then began tickling him and kissing his wittle cheeks until he was a squealing mess.

*Small skip*

After I had feed my little grubster and had burped him, I’d taken him outside, to the back yard so he could see the lovely lunar moths that gathered back there (AN: YES I LOVE LUNAR MOTHS IM SORRY). I had just sat him down to get him one when there was a blast of white light and a squeak. When the light faded, in his naked glory, was my full-grown Kankri, looking quite embarrassed. I grinned, and forgot about the moths, seeing as I had other… Things to take care of ;3
